Driving classes

Driving classes are a mandatory course for everyone wishing to obtain a license before their 18th birthday. While you might feel you can teach your teen satisfactorily, the course must be taught by a DMVlicensed instructor. The course is six hours long—we split the training into three two-hour sessions. (Each session will take about 2.5 hours.) Additional lessons are available, should you not feel comfortable teaching your child after the initial training. Please do not expect your teen to be proficient at driving after only six hours of driving classes.

Driving education classes

In driving education classes, we teach the lessons ‘back-to-back’, which means that the first student drives for his or her two hours, at the end of the two hours, he or she arrives at the next student’s home, who drives the first student home. In driving education classes we make every effort to keep the consecutive students in the same area, but that is not always possible, so drive time must be added to the students’ lessons. Many states do require this ‘observation’ time as part of the student’s training.

Online driving classes for adults

Driving lessons prices can be different by choosing different driving education courses. While Valey does not require this, we do feel the time spent watching the other student drive is valuable. You can request, for a fee of $30, that your student does not take his or her lessons ‘back-to-back.’

For more information about driving lessons prices or Online driving classes for adults fees, you can contact a member of our team.

Online driving classes for adults and driving training for adults  does not automatically cover freeway driving and parallel parking. Once the student masters basic driving skills, freeway driving and parallel parking may be included, if time permits, at the discretion of the instructor. Manual transmission lessons, as well as SUV lessons, are available, but are not included in the driver-training package and must be purchased separately. Driving training for adults and teens, It means that you or your teen can call and schedule appointments up to one month ahead of time for any day of the week. (These may even be made on the same day when our schedules permit.) Holiday and weekend appointments should be scheduled well in advance. We will not schedule a teenager who does not currently possess a valid permit. We do not make one-hour appointments. We use late-model (automatic, 4-cylinder, four-door) Toyota Corollas for our driving education courses. We find this car is extremely easy to drive, and the best choice for teaching basic driving skills. There is an additional brake installed in the car for our instructors, and they are trained in techniques that are effective in making the car do anything necessary.

Your 16-year-old teen must have completed driver education and training, at least 50 hours of practice, (ten of which are at night) with you, and had a permit for six months to be eligible for a provisional license. Your signature is required on your teen’s permit, along with your license number as proof that this practice(driver education and training) has been done. This signature, along with the two certificates (Blue and Gold) will be required for the behind-the-wheel test at the DMV.

It usually requires two weeks notice to book the test. The DMV in this area is usually open Monday through Friday until 5 PM. (They are also open from 8am-12noon every third Saturday of the month.) Bring the permit, the registration and your insurance card for the car you are using. Make sure you have practiced in an area similar to the DMV of your choice, so your teen is familiar with the type of driving you will be tested on Do NOT drive on the route before the test, nor ask our instructors to take you on the route. (This is illegal!)

Obtain Your Permit From the DMV To Obtain a Permit, fill out a DL44 (application for a license/permit), have both of your parents sign it, and:

If you are 17 1/2, present your birth certificate, Social Security card, pay the fee (currently $31*) and pass the permit test.

If you are 15 1/2 (but under 17 1/2), present a Driver’s Education Completion Certificate (DL400C), original birth certificate (this has purple ink or the state seal embossed on it – NO COPIES!), Social Security number (though if you have your card, it is our experience that it is best to have it with you), the current fee, glasses if you need them and pass the permit test. The DMV WILL be taking your picture on this day, so be prepared for that.

You must have a DL-44 signed by both parents (or guardians) who have legal (though not necessarily physical) custody of you. The student should NOT sign the application until he or she is at the DMV and instructed to do so. (The DMV employee has to watch you sign the form) Be sure to sign your legal name. (No nicknames – and it is a good idea to have established your consistent and legible signature by this time)

Check your permit for errors while still at the DMV. If your name, birth-date or address is not correct, let the DMV employee know immediately. Be sure to bring your passport or original birth certificate (the official birth certificate is issued by the registrar of the county/city in which you were born, not the hospital ‘birth certificate!) If the DMV employee has any problem with your paperwork before you leave the DMV, call us! We are open whenever they are and can be reached at (818) 836 0399. The test is tough, but if you can pass our final exam, it will be easy for you. Do Not take the test lightly! There are 46 questions on the DMV test, and you must wait a week to try again if you miss more than eight*. Read every question completely.

Driver’s Training (B-W-T) Driver’s Training is accomplished in a vehicle with a licensed DMV instructor. (No, your parent cannot legally do this). It can be taken any day of the week with an appointment. (These may be made on the same day when our schedules permit.) Appointments are more difficult to make during holidays, so call early to get the appointments best for you, if you want them then. Keep in mind though, we will not schedule a teenager who does not currently possess a valid permit.

Adult students are welcome to call or email Gold Driving School and schedule a time for their lessons. We teach two-hour lessons every day of the week to improve driving skills and test preparation. For each lesson, the student will drive for two hours (though if payment must be made with a credit card, the student will be brought into the Valey office for payment – these payments can be made ahead of time if the student prefers.)

All students are required to obtain (or at least be eligible for) a Driving Permit from the local Valey Department of Motor Vehicles. If refused that permit, Gold Driving School will not be able to take the student to the lesson. Lessons focus on basic driving skills and test preparation, though other driving skills will be covered at the request of the student.

Many students have searched the phrase “driving education near me” in google, we announce that Golddrivingschool can be near to every one of you.
